Planning Granted For City Centre Hotel In Unique Historic Setting

The purpose of the proposed comprehensive redevelopment is to provide high class hospitality accommodation and amenities. Through high quality urban design, architecture and interior spaces, the proposal aims to celebrate the site's unique history which dates back to the 12th century, while also regenerating an underused area of the City.

The site is located centrally within a city block off Capel Street, a commercial hub within the North of Dublin City. The proposed offering is to include a hotel, bars and restaurants which will be accessed through routes off Capel Street, Little Mary Street and Meeting House Lane.

The historic quality of these routes and existing structures is important and we believe the ‘live above a shop’ look to Capel Street and Little Mary Street must be maintained. Each street front and subsequent entrance space has been designed to reflect this and to attract and draw people though the site.
